The 1920's were the most successful "canine" years for the toy industry and for a time dogs even put Teddy bears in their place. It was during this period that Steiff produced their "Molly" dog for the first time. It was one for their greatest successes.
Steiff produced a replica of Molly Dog 1927 dog in 2000. Made of red tipped mohair plush, Molly Dog 1927 measures 22cm and is stuffed in the traditional manner with wood shavings. Molly's head turns, the nose and claws are hand and around her neck she wears a blue satin bow.
