Produced in 2004 as a North American Exclusive - part of the "Last American Frontier" series, LE 1500 - Includes embroidered felt bag.

Painted horses were very important to Native Americans and cowboys, who used them to help herd ranch animals and even buffalo. American painted horses are descendants of Andalusian horses, which Spanish conquistadors brought to America about 500 years ago. Steiff has created this exquisitely lifelike American Painted Pony with a typical "spotted style" patterned coat, a white mane, and a brown tail, all made from pure mohair. He has airbrushed facial features, endearing black eyes and measures 13".
