Maggie’s inspiration for Helen began with the idea of what pastel shades can do for a little girl. The garden on her wool felt dress is painted, embroidered, and sculpted with felt flowers and leaves in gentle shades of pinks and greens. The silk sash around the low waist of her dress has been hand dyed and painted by Maggie to pull all of Helen’s wispy colors together. Long knee socks and black suede Mary Janes give Helen her base, and crowning her short mohair wig with bangs is a felt hat that says, “Here I am, it’s me, Helen.” As if we didn’t know. Helen measures 17 1/2". A 75 piece edition priced at $875.00
