Eegee Shirley Temple Look-alike Doll - Miss Charming by Eegee Goldberger Doll Mfg., Co., Inc. Released: 1936 Unmarked 17 inch all Composition Doll
This all original 17 inch Miss Charming produced in 1936 by Eegee Goldberger Doll Mfg., Co., Inc. (also called little miss Movie) was the leading Shirley Temple look-alike of that time period. Miss Charming has an all composition jointed body (legs, arms, shoulder head), blue tin sleep eyes with full lashes (one eye lash may be missing), open mouth with four upper teeth, blonde mohair wig in original set over molded hair. She features Shirley Temple look-alike features - including dimples - with exceptional coloring. Some Eegee Miss Charming dolls were marked on head: E.G., most are unmarked. This is an unmarked doll.
Face & Body: This doll is in exceptional all original condition with the following exceptions: The stringing is original and loose and may eventually need to be replaced. The composition is in very good original condition with the exception of a tiny hole at the back of the dolls right leg (near the top) as shown. There appears to be one eyelash missing.
Clothing: Miss Charming is wearing her original outfit (never removed or washed, that still bears the manufacturers crisp sizing. It is made of white cotton organza with golden yellow floral print, trimmed in yellow ribbon. The original yellow ribbon belt is tied at the waist and a matching yellow ribbon is tied in her hair. Under her dress, she wears a white cotton onsie with attached slip. There are original safety-pin closures in back of her onsie and dress. Miss Charming wears her original white and yellow rayon socks and original yellow 1930s center-snap oilcloth shoes.
This is a beautiful vintage Shirley Temple look-alike doll in near mint condition that appears to never have been played with........a rare find!

The Eegee Doll Company was founded in 1917 by Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Goldberger in Brooklyn, NY. The Eegee trademark was first used in 1923.
Early dolls were marked E G, Gold Doll, Gold Doll Co., E. Goldberger and finally Eegee or Goldberger or (in a circle) TRADEMARK EEGEE Dolls MADE IN USA. They produced composition, latex, hard plastic and vinyl dolls.
This lovely 17 inch composition Shirley Temple doll was produced in 1930’s ..... She is a vintage doll in very nice condition but not mint….. sold as is…. as shown in the photos provided.
