Tula by Annette Himstedt represents a child from Atlantis. Produced in 2006 in an edition of only 277, she is made of vinyl and measures 35 inches tall. Tula is designed to be a standing doll. She has blue eyes made of German, mouth-blown glass. Her strawberry blonde hair is a human hair handknotted wig that is fashioned into loose plaits. Additionally, multicolourded strands of hair are worked onto the wig and cascade down either side of her face to give her an ethereal look. Special Atlantis underwater gold face paint further enhances her fantasy mermaid quality. Her frilly atlantic blue mermaid gown tops matching trousers edged in hand-dyed hand-crocheted lace.
