This lovely 17 inch composition Shirley Temple doll was produced in 1930’s by the Ideal Novelty and Toy Co.. She is a used vintage doll in nice condition but not mint…..sold as is…as shown in the photos provided. Click on red "Image Gallery" Button above to view more photos.

Face & Body: This Shirley Temple is all composition, jointed at legs, arms and head, has glassine sleep eyes (cloudy)with full lashes (a couple of eye lashes missing on left eye as shown), feathered brows, painted lower lashes, red dots in the nostrils, painted open mouth with six upper teeth and tongue, dimples, good coloring, blonde mohair wig still with some of the original set. She is marked on her back “Shirley Temple” 17 and on the back of the neck “SHIRLEY TEMPLE Cop N & T”. Stringing is a little loose…..at times the head will fall forward but the doll will hold a pose. The composition is in very good original condition (almost no crazing)with the exception of a tiny line under the doll’s mouth (1/4 inch - see photo). There are typical rubs around the joints (top of arms, legs and at base of neck. The pinkie finger on the right hand is damaged as shown.

Clothing: Shirley Shirley Temple is wearing an original blue and white organza Shirley Temple dress, from the film Stand Up & Cheer. The label is present as shown. It appears that the dress and onesie have been laundered, starched and ironed. There are several small pin holes in the dress - one in back of the dress near the hem and 2 to 3 in each sleeve. There are two original mother of pearl button closures on the back of the dress. Under her dress, she wears the original white cotton onesie with attached slip. There is a small hole in the bottom back of the onesie. She wears her original socks and 1930’s center-snap oilcloth shoes. The snap closure on the right shoe is damaged.
