This wonderful Steiff Collector Club 1994 Blue 1908 replica bear measures 13.77 inches, is made of blue mohair and is 5-way jointed with a husky growler voice mechanism. Features porcelain chest tag on a blue ribbon, hand-stitched nose and claws, black shoe button eyes, felt paw pads and excelsior stuffing.

The original of this replica was one of six bears sent as samples to Harrods in London in 1908. However, the unique blue color did not find favor with the buyer from Harrods and so it remained the only example ever manufactured. In 1993 this blue Steiff bear was offered for auction through Christie's of London. It sold for 49,500 pounds sterling (ca. $63,000).
